What’s Your Vision:

Color palette, skin tone, hair styles, textures, colors and style. If you’ve pictured a little girl with curly hair and a dimple please let me know. Certain things I can definitely take from the text but because most children’s book do not have a lot of words, I will need your input. This will ensure the project is finished in a timely manner with little need for revisions. Yes, I love to be creative but this is your “baby” I’m just delivering it and then putting it in your arms. J Also, if you characters are basic on some one please provide  pictures of them in different poses and emotions, I’ll attempt to capture their likeness.

After I've read the information in your email. I then provide you with a quote for the illustrations for your book.

If this works for you we can proceed to Step 2 Yay!!!.

Step 2:

Let's Go

Contract and Deposit Payment

If you agreed to the quote, I will create the contract for the project. The contract is then emailed to you for your review via DocuSign App. If the contract is acceptable, sign it in DocuSign. If something isn’t clear or needs to be revised, tell me and then hopefully we can work it out and it can be revised and sent back to you for your signature. If not, no worries I wish you the best and tremendous success on this journey and in life. If you’d like to proceed then let’s make a bestseller!

I’ll send you an invoice via PayPal, once the deposit 1st installment is received then the adventure begins.

Please note: No work begins until the deposit has been received.

Step 3:

“Draw, Draw, Draw”

We will finalize color palette, style, and expectations of illustrations.

I will begin with black and white rough digital sketches, I’ll email them to you for approval. This is the time to review the sketches carefully and if you'd like changes made to the sketches then list the changes by number and reply on the same email.

Change requests will only be accepted by email.

If you approve of the sketches then please state that in your reply email. Only two revisions to each pencil sketch before additional charges apply. If a revision is required due to my error then additional charges will not apply for the resulting revision.

Once all the black and white sketches are completed and approved by you the second installment payment is then required. 2nd invoice will be sent via PayPal.

Color

Once the second installment payment has been received work begins on the finished colored illustrations. Like before with the black and white sketches, I’ll email the low resolution (email-friendly) color images to you for approval and you reply with either a change request or approval of the image. For the color illustrations you are allowed one revision to the colors (ONLY) in each illustration, not the scene. Should you require additional changes to the color beyond that one revision or should you require changes to the original sketch (before color was applied) then additional charges will apply. As before, if a revision is required due to my fault then additional charges will not apply for the resulting revision.

After all the color illustrations have been completed and approved by you then the FINAL payment is required.

***All illustrations will be watermarked and belong to me until final payment is received.

Step 4:

Here’s Your Baby

After I receive the final payment from you, I will place all your book illustrations in my DropBox* folder and email you a link where you can pick them up.

I hope you’re satisfied and I wish you so, so much success!

*DropBox (www.dropbox.com) is a super easy file transfer system that works a lot like the way you move files between folders on your computer. I put the illustrations in my DropBox folder and send you an email link to where you can pick them up. It's safe and fast, and if you have your own publisher they can pickup the illustrations from the DropBox folder too, which means that your book will get published faster.

Thank you for considering me to create your vision for you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sending Light and Love, Ayanna
